11th National Conference on the Health Economy 2015

On 15th/16th July 2015 the 11th National Conference on the Health Economy was held in Rostock-Warnemünde. This year more than 600 participants, including experts, stakeholders and politicians came together to discuss the development and prospects of the health sector.

At the booth of Techniker Krankenkasse Infokom presented the teledermatology system Mobil Skin. This is in cooperation with the University of Greifswald, represented by Prof. Dr. med. habil. Michael Jünger.  Here the Mobil Skin system and associated mSkin App were demonstrated to many people, including the Prime Minister of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Erwin Sellering . The three project partners, Techniker Krankenkasse (represented by the Head of TK Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Mrs. Manon Austenat-Wied), the Department of Dermatology  Greifswald University (represented by Prof. Dr. med. habil. Michael Jünger) and Infokom (represented by director Mr. Rolf-Dietrich Berndt) considered the great interest the teledermatology system attracted a great success. As part of its IV (Integratded Medical Services) contract, the Techniker Krankenkasse has developed its own telemedicine modules for the applications of the teledermatology system.

Currently, this service is being used by the Department of Dermatology at the University of Medicine in Greifswald. There are plans to expand this service to offer on a national level, integrating more doctors, especially dermatologists, into the network.
