In today\u2019s context, Software as a\u00a0Service (SaaS), a model in which software and its associated data\u00a0are hosted centrally and are typically accessed by users using\u00a0client interfaces, has become a common delivery model for\u00a0several applications. However, security and privacy issues have to\u00a0be given more attention in most of these implementation\u00a0environments. This paper introduces an innovative SaaSPlatform\u00a0suited for the implementation of mobile health\u00a0solutions. The platform utilizes state-of-the art technologies in\u00a0information and communication systems. It follows the principles\u00a0of services oriented architecture and delivers services as a SaaS.<br \/>\nThe SaaS-Platform has a four-layer architecture model which\u00a0includes the middle layer, the application layer, the\u00a0communication layer and the user layer. At the application layer,<br \/>\nsolutions can be presented as web-interfaces, mobile-interfaces or\u00a0client software. Basic tasks such as secure data communication,\u00a0secure data storage, user management and easy-to-use interfaces\u00a0are offered by the SaaS-Platform. The architecture and basic\u00a0functions of the platform will be presented.
